Through the Jesus Today newsletter.
Following Jesus, as a disciple, in the detail of the canonical gospels, taught me to truly love Him for who He is: God made Man, savior and redeemer, come to teach us to love God and our neighbor... following the example of His Life and His Death.
Baptized, I had not been to the sacraments for over 20 years. "Following" Christ, like a disciple of his time for a year (reading time), allowed me to understand the meaning of the word "conversion"... that is to say, leaving the intellectual level of my relationship with God to truly move to the spiritual level. Since then, I go to the sacrament of forgiveness several times a month and I take communion as often as possible (several times a week).
As Pope Pius XII recommended: read (the entire work) and you will understand...

I became acquainted with the work of Maria Valtorta through a conference given by Father Pagès. I "accidentally" opened this video which encouraged me to read Maria's writings, published on the web. From the first lines, my love for Jesus literally exploded, my eyes were opened to the teachings of my childhood, my first communion and my solemn communion came back to my memory with astonishing precision, and I even remembered the words of the old priest to the little girls crowned in white: "For God, you are unique and irreplaceable!"
I saw Jesus as a living person, incarnate, I heard His Words as if I was present with his disciples. Every word became clear and accessible both to my mind and my heart, something I had never felt when I used to go to mass;
I can accompany my grandchildren who have requested baptism; my view on my life and my sins has opened.
What are you afraid of? In all religions, there are things to take and leave, But in the gospels, NOTHING is to be thrown away, each Word opens a world and Maria Valtorta allows us to receive this Word right in the heart!

By a friend in 2012: he had the books of the Work at his place and I randomly opened them.
She made the Gospel very concrete by allowing me to "visualize" the life of Christ; if I could take a picture, I would say that I went from 2D to 3D.
Jesus and Maria Valtorta have been very gentle with me: I have gradually drawn closer to Christ (and Mary) by meditating much more on his life; I pray more frequently and more intensely because I visualize much better.
Do not hesitate to discover: one can start anywhere by reading a passage. And then... Christ will do the rest.

In search of spirituality, through the Marie de Nazareth website, I discovered the work of Maria Valtorta. I read the 10 volumes in just over a year and I have undertaken to read them again.
I am surprised that this work is not accepted by the Church. As far as I'm concerned, this work can only have 3 sources - the human - the devil - God For a human, it's impossible to conceive so many unprecedented and subsequently verified facts, especially under the conditions in which Maria Valtorta wrote. The devil, it could be him, but in this case the objective can only be to denigrate the Church, GOD However, after this reading, I feel closer to GOD, to the Church, to the Pope, leaving the third solution.
It helps me in the prayer of the rosary, in faith in the Church, respect for bishops, the Pope
You need to read volume 1, and volumes 9 and 10.

On the internet, a few years ago, it must have been on the Marie de Nazareth site, there was the text of the Gospel followed by the vision of Maria Valtorta.
We are used to placing the Magi in the crib for Epiphany, but in the Gospel of Saint Matthew, it is said: "...When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy. They entered the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother; and, falling at his feet, they worshipped him...." There is no longer any question of a stable and a crib, but of a HOUSE, which corresponds to the vision of Maria Valtorta who also tells us that the child Jesus began to walk, which indicates the time of the journey between the moment the Magi see the star at the time of Christ's birth and the moment they arrive in Bethlehem. With this vision of Maria Valtorta, for me, everything becomes clear, logical and real. We can consider that the Magi took several months to arrive in Bethlehem and that St. Joseph and St. Mary had long since left the stable by their arrival.
I had faith and practiced before reading Maria Valtorta but her visions come to confirm, strengthen my faith and provide a beautiful insight on the Gospels.
I would tell him about the episode of the Magi's arrival as seen by Maria Valtorta, (which I have already done at the time of Christmas and Epiphany.)

It was my son who advised me and bought all the volumes of Maria Valtorta.
Reading the Volumes allowed me to better understand the Gospels, succinct out of necessity, the nomadic life of Jesus and his disciples during his ministry, the harassment of the Pharisees at each of his sermons which explains his condemnation and crucifixion. The account of Lazarus' resurrection is very explicit and very realistic.
Better understand the gospels and the detailed life of Jesus and his apostles.
To read the volumes.

Through the internet through various searches on faith.
Through the teachings of Jesus throughout the readings.
Understanding the sacraments and the acts of Jesus.
This is the revelation of Marie's life from her birth to her death, what she experienced and how she redeemed women. Also how Jesus redeemed men.

I discovered this monumental work when I stumbled upon a rebroadcast of its adaptation for children by Radio Maria. I was looking for biographical data on my patron saint and on the child Mary, to whom I have a particular devotion, and volume 1 was perfectly timed to answer this quest.
The writings of Maria Valtorta shed new light on characters that the canonical Gospels mention little, such as Saint Joseph or even Mary herself. It confirms my intuitions, for example, that the resurrected Jesus could not have failed to first appear to his Holy Mother, as Saint John-Paul II also thought. I am a blind person and therefore feed especially on the psychology of the characters as described by Maria, I am thinking in particular of the two faces of John, son of Zebedee and beloved disciple of Jesus, or conversely, Judas who, despite being the object of so much attention due to his fragility, refused to take advantage of the immense graces that were offered to him, paragon of sinful human nature!
I have always loved and revered the Virgin Mary. I am also as convinced as one can be that I heard her one night in a dream, when I was still a teenager: "When I think that I am not loved and that I am the mother of the wicked." My ties with our Mother of Heaven loosened for a while after I met the father of my children. I had just returned to my roots, having been asked to become his goddaughter by an acquaintance who had just converted, when I discovered Maria Valtorta. Since then, her wonderful pages about Mary and Jesus have only nourished and strengthened this rediscovered relationship to my greatest joy. Now I know what Jesus means by "I give you my peace"!
If you found the catechism lessons of your childhood austere or sleep-inducing (I admit that this was my case in the religious school where I received my first education and the Word of God), reread the life of Jesus in the light of Maria Valtorta and you will see how easy it becomes to attach yourself, first to Him of course, but also to the Holy Family, to each of the apostles.

It was my father who started talking to me about it and then I got an issue of Christians Magazine that allowed me to better know the person of Maria. Then I bought volume 1.
I was a practitioner but I thought that all faith, God, and the Saints were very far from me. I did not understand what God could bring us. After reading, everything became clear, everything became easy to understand and above all, all the characters are like us! I understood why Jesus suffered for us and I now understand the meaning of the life of every human being.
Everything became clear to me. The meaning of mass, the Holy Sacrament, prayers, sacrifices, offering up one's sufferings, praying for others, loving one's enemies. I returned to regular confession and I adore before the very Holy Sacrament 2 to 3 times a week. I am kinder to people, more serene and full of hope about life after death. My view of life has completely changed in my life as a mother and wife too. Everything has changed for me and for the better!
I started reading with a lot of skepticism, telling myself: if it's "weird" I'll stop. And really everything is so beautiful and faithful to the Gospel! Start reading and you'll see... !!

I knew him through the Marie de Nazareth association and Providence wanted that one day I stumble on Youtube on an excerpt from the Gospel as it was revealed to Maria VALTORTA.
Listening to the CDs allowed me to better understand the Gospel and the Infinite Love that Jesus has for us.
I was a very great sinner but thanks to the Gospel as it was revealed to Maria VALTORTA, which allowed me to understand everything that Jesus did for us, I had a radical conversion (as the Exorcist Priest told me). I stopped sinning as I did out of love for Jesus, I will go every day (I have only attended mass once because I was hospitalized urgently), I pray the rosary every day, I have made an act of devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary through the Scapular of Mount Carmel, I share excerpts from the Gospel as it was revealed to Maria VALTORTA on Facebook every day and I know that other people have also returned to prayer by reading the shares and that is thanks to this work. I should note that I had been away from mass for nearly 40 years.
Read this work, open your heart and Jesus will enter. You will not even notice it and yet a flame will ignite in you with such a burning fire that you will be ever more drawn towards GOD.
