To tell the truth, I no longer remember the specific event that made me aware of Mr. Valtorta's works. I started by ordering one volume to see for myself, and then I found the 10 volumes on Le Bon Coin, and bought them, then read them with great interest.
Through my reading, I found myself in the midst of this group of apostles guided by Jesus, somewhat like the 13th member of this group, following their daily lives, their messages, their everyday life. It was for me an illustrated and living supplement to the Gospels that I already knew. I saw, I understood, I was with Jesus and his apostles, I appreciated the precision and all the details of the message placed in its historical and religious context. An unprecedented and truly instructive journey opening my mind to that of Jesus. The complete reading of these 10 volumes never took me away from what the Church had previously taught me. This reading only corroborated the existing writings, consolidating through its many details my conviction that Christ is the envoy of God and the friend of Men.
I believe that Mr. Valtorta's writings are authentic and sincere, even if sometimes the formulation of ideas and the layout of the text require careful rereading. These writings have strengthened my faith in the Eucharist. They clarified for me the meaning of Jesus' Passion (Volume 10) and made me understand how far divine love could go towards the man that I am. And then everything exudes reality in the reported facts. Everything becomes clear and limpid when reading these works. No confusion or insinuations, ever.
One must familiarize oneself with the style and its formatting. We are not in a novel or in the usual readings recounting the usual biographies. I was reading only one chapter at a time, and this spread over about a year for my complete reading. But each time, I was happy in advance because I knew that I was going to discover who Jesus is among his apostles.

A few years ago, I asked the priest who was preparing us for marriage in a famous Abbey in the South of France about reading the work of Maria Valtorta. Skeptical, he gave me his permission; then I asked the opinion of the Exorcist Priest from my city at the time, he told me "If Padre Pio recommended it..go for it! I myself have read 1/3 of the work, I see nothing that contradicts the dogma!". I discovered Maria Valtorta while watching a video of Sister Emmanuelle Maillard from the Community of Beatitudes!
These books have opened a bridge to the Bible that I had set aside...the more I read, the more I returned to the passages of the Old or New Testament; everything became coherent, clear; it's as if the Holy Spirit gave meaning to the fragments of the Bible that I did not understand...and the more I reread the Volumes, the more I realize that the Bible is a past-present-future book and that the words of Christ still speak to me even if I have read the same words 5 times!!! It's inexhaustible...
The rediscovery and deepening of the Word of God have anchored God in my daily life and prayer and the sacraments have taken a central importance that I try to honor despite my miseries... Aspects of my past life have been illuminated by the words and visions described by Maria Valtorta, I have meditated on them with the Bible and I can say that it is the reading book of my life... The Bible, it's God... This book is God's work for the little ones! You must still have a child's heart, I believe, to accept and understand it. You must be able to believe that Nothing is Impossible for God! That all the books of the Earth will not be enough to tell what Jesus did on Earth as St John says!!!
Try...God speaks to everyone in a different way; maybe it's this way, maybe it's another...listen closely and seek God incessantly.

I discovered the work of Marie Valtorta while talking to a person who was part of a team studying these texts. I was delighted to discover these writings that I BELIEVE to be the fruit of the grace that this person received throughout her difficult life. These texts are not "invented": they are true and sincere. It is impossible to have invented these writings! The places, the historical facts recounted are too real! I really enjoy reading the texts of Maria Valtorta, particularly the Gospel as it was revealed to me because I feel like I'm spending a little time with Jesus during my reading.
By spending small moments with Jesus, the description of the environment, the characters, the feelings of one and all, it allowed me to get closer to Jesus and our Holy Apostles whom I now think of more often. I really realize the great Mercy of God and I am touched to the depths of my being. I thus learned that I have a soul and that I have value for Jesus.
Maria Valtorta did not particularly convert me. But I can say that she brought me closer to the Lord and allowed me to understand him better (if this is even possible!...)

Through the "A son image" editions, I had read the book of Marie Valtorta's life that I had ordered and which had fascinated me.
Every Sunday I receive a commentary on the Gospel as it was revealed to me by Maria Valtorta, with her visions, and it better helps me understand the issue of faith among the apostles and the thoughts of Jesus. It enriches me spiritually to know what Jesus was thinking during his earthly life.
It is a direct teaching without frills but put into the context of Jesus's public life.
If he is honest, he can only admire the comments found in the writings of Maria Valtorta. Indeed, they recreate the atmosphere and certain details during the public life of Jesus.

I received an anonymous subscription to "Jesus Today" and wanted to learn about Maria Valtorta's work on the internet. I was captivated by the testimony of scientists about the veracity of her visions. And each time, both in consultation (I am a psychiatrist) and in everyday life with Christians from other denominations, I recommend reading Maria Valtorta on the life of Jesus, and particularly on the role of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the history of the Church, through Her numerous apparitions, asking these Christians for their return to the Church of Rome.
By strengthening my faith in the Church and the Gospel that I now read daily.
I go to mass every Sunday, barring unforeseen circumstances, and taking my communion, and thanks to the Eucharistic miracles that I introduce to my surroundings, I am convinced that beyond the symbol, it is the Body and Blood of Christ that is found in the host. And it is indeed the work of Maria Valtorta that made us discover these miracles.
I would say that reading Maria Valtorta's work could strengthen one's faith, and show how much Jesus and His Mother love us.

I discovered the work of Maria Valtorta through my mother who lent me her books.
Maria Valtorta's work accompanied me during my pilgrimage in Israel, during which I experienced inner peace. The passages I read in the book corresponded to the places we visited (site of the Visitation, home of the Holy Family). I only read the first volume, but it allowed me to better visualize the life of the Virgin Mary and the childhood of Jesus.
In my actual life, I have not felt any tangible impact on my spiritual life but this reading made me discover the Gospels in a different way and increased my curiosity for the Virgin Mary.
I would highly recommend it as it's an easy and very vivid read.
I wish to add that I had the feeling of a holy text while reading this book.

I learned about the work of Maria Valtorta from my mother since the 1990s. She was subscribed at the time to the Stella Maris magazine. She would share with me, from time to time, the stories of Marian apparitions, in France, Portugal, Yugoslavia. It was only in 2019-2021 that after searching for this work in vain since 1997 (I was initially 18 years old), I learned about the existence of websites that provided access to the entirety of this work. My little sister had sent me this link: https://maria-valtorta.org/ during COVID and I found others afterwards.
1- The work allowed me to clearly place JESUS-CHRIST in time in a precise manner. 2- The work allowed me to clearly see that GOD is sovereign and that he is truly free. He does what he wants when he wants, as he wants. 3- I saw the apostles in their skin of simple men, fragile like me, heroic at times, slanderous like the Christians I associate with... in short! Men, not superheroes. Men like me. 4- I see that GOD rejects no one. I note that JESUS-CHRIST and the HOLY VIRGIN did everything (exhortations, prayers... everything) to save Judas. I really had doubts about his damnation. 5- I better understood the meaning of marriage, the danger of sexual disorder and divination. 6- The gospels speak the truth. Indeed, all the libraries would not be enough to contain the testimonies of Christ. 10 volumes but we still haven't seen everything.
I have walked again with Jesus. How can I say that I have walked again with JESUS CHRIST? I ask you to revisit the testimony of the disciples of Emmaus. I read the work over 3 years. Each time I returned to read it, my heart was burning. "The soul recognizes its creator" it is said. As a Catholic who had cooled down, I rediscovered that the sacraments are true. Especially that of reconciliation that many do not like in the Church. If JESUS CHRIST and the Blessed Virgin did not give up on Judas whom they knew was lost due to his refusal to save himself, who am I to discourage myself? If JESUS CHRIST suffered this horror that I read for me, why wouldn't I confess even to the most sinful of priests? Their weakness is not an obstacle for me, but an opportunity to save myself. I say this because around me, some claim that they cannot lower themselves before someone who sins as much or more than they do.
I will say: Several thousand scientifically verified details. "Seek GOD while He may be found". The work is GOD's nth attempt to open our eyes. If you truly believe that GOD cannot let you get lost, you lose nothing. Just read, and afterwards we meet again for your testimony.
