A friend lent me volume 3 while I was going through many family challenges and continuing my journey for my catechumenate.
Reading Maria Valtorta allows me to better understand the Gospel. Her work is of great spiritual richness. It reveals details that challenge us, bringing us back to the essentials, love as a remedy, and humility.
Before Maria Valtorta, I adored Jesus because for him, I requested baptism without being aware of the impact it would have on my life. I pray every day, I go to mass on Sundays. The teachings of Jesus dispensed there lead me to a total conversion, a giving of myself, a change of life. I envision my life differently with more simplicity and compassion.
I will simply tell him to let himself be touched by the divine message which is more relevant than ever in a world where the voice of the Lord seems no longer to be heard.

I discovered this work when entering a Catholic bookshop one day at the age of 32, after reading the Book of Revelation and the Bible and not understanding it. I was a Catholic and went to church in my youth, but there was very little catechesis. The Maria Valtorta work actually assisted me to understand my faith, and I believe my faith today was a result of this work, as I was so disappointed with my Catholic faith that I contemplated leaving for a Protestant denomination, as I found no devotion in any Masses I attended until the age of 32.
The work has helped me cultivate devotion and love both for my faith and for the Lord, and understand the depth of His love for us. I could not have known the Lord in such a personal way without this work.
The work has deeply impacted my spiritual life forever. It has given me a great devotion.
I would say what Pope Pius XII said: “He who reads it shall understand.” The Lord’s sheep know His voice.
I could never fully express the impact this work has had on my faith, and the fact that it has protected me in this time from following false and heretical teaching which are so widespread today.

By the book of the former French professional footballer Florian Boucansaud "Are you ready? he's coming back".
I feel like I'm taking a time machine that projects me 2000 years back to Palestine to follow the wanderings of Our Lord Jesus Christ, his apostles and disciples, his Mother, the Virgin Mary who is also ours (how lucky we are!) - John 19:27.
It helped me to hold on until the end during the health crisis where I could have lost everything: family, job, home - Daniel 12:12. Thank you Lord God for everything you do for all of humanity. Be eternally blessed.
There is only one religion - Saint Matthew 22:35-40. This Work is yet another testimony of the immense and unconditional Love that God has for each of us - Isaiah 43:19.
What a gift from Heaven this Work is, which cannot be only from a person but from God. When you read it with your heart wide open, how can you still doubt it? Maria Valtorta (Little John) is "only" a spokesperson but what a spokesperson! Saint John 15:13.

Antonio Socci had mentioned it in one of his books.
Words of a strength and sweetness never heard before
Survival of a Terrible Personal Moment
Anyone who feels like one of those persecuted, hungry, thirsty, of the beatitudes must go and read
I don't understand why these readings have not become widespread throughout the world and discussed among all people. I dream of a world where this happens, and where this is the basis of everything.

A friend of mine already owned it.
It made Jesus, Mary, the Apostles, and all the characters mentioned in the Gospel more "familiar" to me to the point of perceiving them... visually!!
The reading/meditation of the Canonical Gospels is clearer, more vivid, and current to me, I would say.
I would say that... when I bought the first book, I didn't feel the enthusiasm I imagined I would find... then as I continued, I felt enveloped and projected into such a Beautiful and lively Spiritual dimension that I couldn't do without it anymore. It has been more than 20 years that I have been reading and rereading the entire Work.

I discovered the work when Father Fortea mentioned it on the internet.
I felt that it was what I had always wanted to read. My faith increased greatly. It feels like God is behind the work. Now, when I hear the Gospel, I remember the circumstances of the events, the character of the people, etc. It is of unimaginable beauty.
I pray more and sin much less. Since I read the work 20 years ago, I attend daily mass.
When you begin to read it, you will feel that it is a gift from God. The work is a constant miracle.
I think that, in the near future, this work will aid in a greater evangelization of the Church. The Virgin Mary, in her apparitions in Medjugorje (where the Church encourages pilgrimage), told the visionary Vicka that this work was for those who want to know more about Jesus.

I discovered The Poem of the Man-God through my mother who would read it to me.
The Poem of the Man-God brings the Gospel to life, and it's a wealth of knowledge that further demonstrates Christ's power, has deepened my understanding and practice of spiritual realities, provides peace and hope, offers wisdom and guidance, inspires action through reflection, encourages fellowship and service, and connects me to the divine.
One of the greatest concrete Graces it brought me—and which I needed the most—is the knowledge of the importance of living for Jesus in all the small details of this life: to suffer little hardships gladly, overcome little proud impulses, little selfishnesses, and little difficulties; to serve Him in the little things; to be a servant of His in the little ways.
Some analysis conclusions regarding the Work: Prof. Emilio Matricciani and Dr. Liberato De Caro: “[...] what Maria Valtorta writes down cannot, in any way, be traced back to her fantasy or to her astronomical and meteorological knowledge.” Jean Aulagnier: “[...] no explanation for the archaeological and geographical accuracy of her writings except an intervention from the beyond.” And so on...

Upon leaving a prayer group of Emmanuel students, someone told me, "I think you should be interested in this book." Then they specified that there were 10 volumes like this one! I skimmed through 5 random pages... After about ten minutes, I told them I was going to buy the entire collection.
From the very first moments, this reading brought me into a heart-to-heart with Jesus.
Better understanding of the hidden side of Divine creation, of the supernatural forces of good and those of evil.

I discovered The Poem of the Man-God, or The Gospel as Revealed to Me, through my sister, an avid reader and advocate of Maria Valtorta.
The Poem of the Man-God brings the Gospel to life, so much so that you LIVE THE GOSPEL, because as you read every scene shown to and described by Valtorta, you feel present for and are edified by it. We are shown the broad strokes of God's love and the lives of the characters in Scripture, which is sufficient, but in this Work we're shown the minute details; and when I see in-depth what Mary/Jesus gifted, sacrificed, and endured for others, including ME, my gratitude, love, and desire to be obedient grow. There's a scene of Jesus sobbing in intense prayer with hope to the Father for the saving of Judas, despite already KNOWING it would never come, of Judas's own free will. This scene alone demonstrates incalculable faith, hope, love, and the power of free will, and teaches us—who are not omniscient as God is—to persevere in loving every soul with all we have, no matter what. Jesus and others are no longer characters I hope to meet and know in Heaven one day in the future, but rather, I know Them more than I thought possible in the present because of having "lived" with Them in the past.
I speak not only for myself, but for my children, as well as my husband, who is currently undergoing RCIA classes, when I say that the Work, for example, helps us to understand and prepare ourselves for receiving the Holy Eucharist and the Sacrament of Reconciliation, as well as recognize and resist temptation by Satan and his servants, and it has also deepened our understanding and practice of faith, prayer, sacrifice, humility, and love.
Jesus said to Maria Valtorta, "Also nowadays, as twenty centuries ago, good people—those of good will [who read the Work]—will have the good reactions of the shepherds and of humble people. The others [who read without a good will] will react in a wicked manner, like the scribes, the Pharisees, the Sadducees, and priests of those days. One gives what one has."

I was reading an account from a mystic, where the Virgin Mary encouraged a person to read it. I thought, if it is authentic, it must be important to read. I don't remember the specific source anymore. That was around 1990.
I have read the "Poem" three times over the years. This has been the most influential book of my life, helping me deepen my faith and love of Jesus Christ. Just as a lot of people like watching the TV show "Chosen" to help bring the story of Jesus alive, so too has this book for me. It has motivated me to try to live as a modern-day disciple of Jesus, participating in and leading faith-based groups at my church and sharing the "good news" with those I know. Jesus is now my "center." I thank Him for bringing greater meaning to my life.
See above.
The message of Jesus is a hard one that challenges our often sinful lives. It is easier to ignore the message, but having a soft heart and accepting that we could do better brings innumerable grace and joy. The "Poem" will challenge you, but open your heart and let it bring you closer to Him.
